Creamy Spiced Apple Pie Porridge

Porridge Ingredients
2 tbsp COYO® Natural Coconut Yoghurt
1/3 cup rolled oats
1 large granny smith apple, grated
1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
1/4 tsp ground ginger
1/4 tsp ground cardamom
Pinch of sea salt
1 cup almond milk
1 tbsp of maple syrup
1/2 cup of apple sauce
1/2 tsp of vanilla paste

Baked Apple Slice Ingredients
1 small granny smith apple, sliced 1cm cubes
2 tbsp coconut oil
2 tbsp coconut sugar

To Serve 
Chopped & toasted hazelnuts
1 tbsp COYO® Natural
Maple syrup, to drizzle
Toasted coconut
Chia seeds


1. Preheat the oven to 180°C
2. Line a baking tray with baking paper
3. Lightly coat the sliced granny smith apple with coconut oil and rub with coconut sugar
4. Place the coated granny smith apple slices onto the baking tray and cook for 20mis, until golden brown and soft. Once cooked remove and set to the side.
5. In a medium sized pot over medium heat, combine the rolled oats, granny smith apple, apple sauce, spices, maple syrup, vanilla paste, almond milk and salt
6. Cook for 10-15mins, continuously stirring until the porridge appears soft
7. Turn off the heat and allow porridge to cool slightly
8. Add the COYO Natural Coconut Yoghurt and stir to combine
9. To serve, spoon the porridge into a bowl, layer on the sliced baked apple
10. Add the final touches with a drizzle of maple syrup,  a dollop of COYO Natural Coconut Yoghurt and sprinkle with toasted coconut, hazelnuts and chia seeds
